Your Guide: Julie
Welcome to my trips! Starting with a modest overnight solo biking trip at age 16, I've hitchhiked to Alaska, done mountain survival training in Norway, and hiked up mountains in Africa, South America, and New Zealand.
I hiked 40 miles through the Grand Canyon in April 2009 with my two teenage kids, carrying all our stuff. We also made space for Brie cheese, hummus, and cocktail bread! Folks kept asking where our wine was.
My Wilderness First Responder certification is valid through 2012.
Please note: I am not a local flora and fauna expert for the Grand Canyon. I also have memorized extremely few facts about the geology there. For an in depth look at these topics, please visit the Grand Canyon National Park site.
